HOPE”:
Born on the border between the
Dominican Republic and Haiti, YOANA
MONTERO knows the tragic
circumstances of the two countries well.
With her single mother from the
Dominican Republic, YOANA MONTERO first grew up in Haiti and then in the
Dominican Republic.
Apart from learning the different languages, she also got to know the
tense relationship between the populations of these two countries.
YOANA MONTERO, who came to
Germany aged 16, made it from a shy
Dominican girl to a model in high demand
and a successful businesswoman.
She knows how best to help the people and
how to create sustainable solutions in the
region.
